I offer home boarding for dogs while their owners are away. Your dogs live with me, a professional dog trainer, in our house with our own dogs who are used to finding a new dog in their midst. Visiting dogs sleep in our house (not kennels) and mix freely with our dogs during the daytime. They exercise daily and have a secure one acre back garden to play or relax, including access to dog agility equipment, throughout the day. As I work from home and my husband is retired, dogs are rarely left without human company, and never without other canine company.
Owners are rarely missed by their ‘best friends’ and long to come back, with at least 80% of them coming back time and time again.
As we offer such a specialist service, we are fully booked for long periods of the year, with Public Holidays often booked a year or more ahead. Also, because we are only able to take a very small number of dogs, we give priority to dogs that attend or have attended our training courses. This means that most visiting dogs know us, our dogs and the premises. Nevertheless, we do take new dogs occasionally so it always worth asking whether we have vacancies.
Obviously we cannot disrupt our own household so, unless you are known to us, to be eligible to stay with us your dog must be:

Comfortable in the presence of our dogs;
Not aggressive in anyway towards humans or other dogs;
House trained;
If an adult dog, neutered.
